Ann Leahy

Ann Leahy, is a final year PhD Candidate, Department of Sociology, Maynooth University, Kildare, Ireland. She is an Irish Research Council Scholar – Employment Based Scheme and a Hume Scholar. Her doctoral research explores the experience of those ageing with disability as well as those experiencing disability with ageing (focusing on physical and sensory disability) as well as policy-frameworks on disability and ageing. Ageing and creativity is another key interest. Ann worked for many years at a senior level for a national NGO in the age-sector in Ireland. Prior to that, she practiced as a solicitor in a commercial law firm.
