Anusmita is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, India and holds a Masters' in Sociology from Jawarharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Currently, as part of her of dissertation project, she is examining the cultural representations of aging bodies, embodiment, social constructionism and sexism in popular Indian media.
