As ageing in urban settlement emerges as a global demographic trend, a better understanding of the importance and limitations of demographics should be placed at the top of researchers’ list of priorities.

Gustavo Sugahara
Gustavo Sugahara is a PhD candidate at Oslo Metropolitan University. Sugahara’s main research interest is the relations between population ageing and economics. He has a degree in economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil, and a Master's degree in Economy and Public Policy from the University Institute of Lisbon, Portugal. Currently, his research focuses on the role of technology in promoting age-friendly cities.
